The chances of going on holiday, chilling on a beach and sipping cocktails in the sun this year are fading away as each day passes during the coronavirus pandemic.

Obviously, missing out on a holiday is an insignificant issue in comparison but that doesn’t mean we can’t still work for our holiday bod… even if that holiday is in the UK!

Up Your Vitamin C Intake

Did you know vitamin C is great for helping to strengthen the skin’s connective tissue? This means that the stronger the tissue is, the less chance you have of having cellulite. Now unfortunately for women, men actually have a much stronger connective tissue and as a result women’s fat cells are likely to poke through weaker areas of the skin and cause dimples. If you want to up your vitamin C intake anyway, we recommend you try citrus fruits and juices, berries, tomatoes, peppers and new potatoes.

Drink Plenty of Water

It’s something that you hear all the time, but drinking enough water will not only fill you up and stop you snacking throughout the day, it will also make areas like your thigh and bum look better as it stops your skin looking dehydrated and dry which in turn makes your cellulite show more.

Prevent Bloating

There are many different reasons as to why your stomach may appear bloated. One that many people don’t realise is chewing gum as you are actually swallowing extra air which leads to abdominal bloating. Your body also thinks that food is entering as you are chewing so it produces enzymes to break it down, but with no food actually there, your belly will be filled with stomach acid instead.

Another quick fix for bloating is to cut out fizzy drinks as they contain gas that again goes straight to your stomach, and also make sure you don’t eat whilst racing around as this causes you to again swallow extra air!

When you consume too many calories, the body stores it as extra fat which is likely to go straight to your belly.
